UN Webcast Live

Thanks to the BSG Blog for alerting us that tonight's UN Panel will be live webcast at this site on Channel 1. According to the site they also archive their broadcasts for later viewing.

Also, here's a bit more info on how this panel was set up in the first place.

Very funny...first because every chair in the room is labeled with a 12 Colonies name plate (Gemenon, Caprica, etc)...and second the crowd actually LOOKS like they could be at a 12 Colonies assembly right out of the show itself.

I fear spoilers....

I can either sit here and watch this on my computer in a 4" x 3" square...or go see the movie I was planning to see. Hmmm...

Getting very reeled in by the clip reel w/narration and press quotes they are showing before the panel...

Bah Firefox can't find the plugin I need to watch this. I have the latest Firefox and IE but no video. Is this a problem for anyone else?

@ Genna: Sez you need RealPlayer (yeccch) to view.

As soon as Eddie said, "You shouldn't have invited me here" I started grinning. I didn't realize it would result in a chorus of SSWA at the U. freaking N.; that was just gravy.

Whoopi Goldberg saying, "Saul T is my man," is pretty amusing.

But some really interesting issues being raised there. The suicide bombings and abortion storylines are being talked about in a really interesting manner.

I was lucky enough to be at the UN tonight, and had a wonderful time. ProgGrrl is totally right about the name plates. For a second it really did look like we were setting up for a Quorum session. But the whole UN building is kind of a great setting for this -- you know, like Galactica herself, the girders are all more than 50 years old, part of it's become a museum, and a lot of people think the thing has outlived its usefulness. But old things surprise you, sometimes...

I was at the UN too -- what a marvelous night! All of the country name placards were replaced with the names of the 12 colonies, which was a terrific touch. The afterparty was great too: I got reprimanded for smoking a cigarette in the bathroom -- with David Eick.

A friend I know who was there swiped his CAPRICA name plate...lucky bastard.
