Adama: "Now I've lost a son."
...
I hope he was talking about Zak, and not Lee. But why was he in dress uniform....
That sounded very much like Adama was referring to a new loss . . . .
I'm almost 100% positive he doesn't mean Lee, though I'm not currently at liberty to elaborate. For now, let us just say that in my travels I accidentally stumbled upon a brief snippet of spoiler footage from an upcoming episode (not "Islanded," so draw your own conclusions) and let it go at that.
Of course, he could *still* have been feeling the sting of a more recent loss than Zak... as I note that in all of the promo footage we've seen so far (Skiffy and Space) there has been not one single glimpse of a Certain Someone...
I'm thinking he means Zak, as in "I lost a son once, so I understand your pain." But hey, this is BSG and I wouldn't exactly take out a life insurance policy on ANYONE.
He said "and I lost a son."
Speaking of Helo, Tahmoh Penikett said last year that his character's end would surprise people, that he convinced the show runners to modify Helo's ending from what he felt was the "obvious" conclusion originally scripted.
I wonder if we will see that turn, or at least the start of it, tonight. And I wonder, what would have been the "obvious" course for him -- staying loyal to Adama or finally breaking away? Although Helo has generally been one Adama's most faithful loyalists, he's gotten in hot water with the old man a couple of times when he felt higher principles were at stake...
If they stay true to the characters - and Moore has said that the relationships and characters are the thing - then Helo would follow his heart and stay with Athena and Hera over the fleet
