At The Auction

Here is a great flickr set of shots by reader Jeremy...and a few vids I shot this weekend:

BSG Auction from ProgGrrl on Vimeo.

In a Raptor at last... from ProgGrrl on Vimeo.

(Does anyone know who won Baltar's portrait?)

Thanks for the videos! I wish I could have been there this weekend... I'm sorry you didn't win the painting - were you successful with any of the items? I bid on a few things online but was outbid each time (usually by way more than I thought!). Ah well, such is life...

Hey ProgGrrl--thanks so much for giving all of us the scoop! (And I'm so jealous that you got to sit in the raptor!) If I lived in LA, I definitely would have gone, but it would've been a bit of a far trip from the Midwest. I would've like to get some dog tags...either Starbuck or Apollo's, but I guess I'll have to settle with the ones that came with my 4.0 DVD's. :)

This is great ProgGrrl! I have been outbid on a small computer button panel online. So I hope you were able to get some stuff.

Sweet! Everyhing looks awesome. I'm so jealus. Would've been so fun to be there (and push buttons!wow :O), but the trip halfway around the world do complicate things.
Thanks for your vids and Jeremys pictures! Do you know if there is like a list of final bids somewhere? Interesting to see how much people are willing to pay for say, the hybrid tub!
Good stuff, cheers!

Erica, you are so awesome! Thank you for posting these videos, which are an absolute delight. I dearly wish I could've been there this weekend, though this (and watching some of the auction online) was the next best thing as I recovered from the assorted trauma of SAGN. You and this blog are a treasure.

@Robogeek: :-D *\O/*

And for those of you wondering...no I didn't win *anything* I bid on. Sigh.

@ProgGrrl; I'm in so much envy of you right now. This is one of the (many) reasons that I hate living on this side of the pond. Oh well, moving on... Everything looked fantastic in the videos so thanks for sharing them with us. I'm also really interested to know if everything is built and crafted to the high standard that they appear to be, in particular the Raptor and Viper? From what I could see the attention to detail looked incredible, even right down to the smaller props in the display cabinets. As for that Raptor, I can't imagine what kind of feelings were running through you when you entered it and despite the fact you never won anything you experienced a once in a lifetime opportunity which I'm sure you will cherish forever.

It really was amazing to be in the room with all that stuff.

They are doing another auction later in the spring (apparently a Mark II viper will be there next time)...I highly recommend you get yourself there to see it, even if you can't bid on a thing!

Other high profile items I didn't see in this auction were the Unknown Soldier photo...and Baltar's religious robes. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe those will be in the next one.

I saw on the auction site that Tigh's small metal flask will be in the next auction too.

AWESOME videos, Erica! Thank you for posting them! I felt like I was there.

I heard from one of the people working at the auction that the next auction will have things that we haven't seen yet. Supposedly it's timed with the finale.

Great videos, ProgGrrl! It's wonderful you almost make us feel as if we were there.

Btw, I've got a list of all item's prices and purchases here, but as it happens, it doesn't include the name of the painting's purchaser, lol
