I've seen the first 2 episodes and I enjoy it...but it really is EXACTLY like L&O in the USA....Jamie is great as the younger, more badass cop in the pairing, and his counterpart is the English version of Lennie Briscoe.
It's just weird for me to see him speaking in his native English accent...so many English are on US shows now, faking it (Rufus Sewel, Damian Lewis, Kevin McKidd - ok he's scottish, Simon Baker, and so on) but it's wild to hear them speaking native, it's really amazing.
Ok maybe not. But anyway, I like L&O as "turn off the brain" tv vs BSG or Lost, which requires me to think.
Hearing Damian Lewis speak in his native accent blows me away every time. I love "Life," but I'll always think of him as Major Winters and he does *not* sound like that! :-) In all seriousness, the ability of Jamie and Damian to sound completely natural speaking with an American accent is a testament to their talents as actors.
Wow, this looks great. Can't wait to see it if it makes it to the States...prolly gonna be UK only, but Jamie + Freema (from Dr. Who!) should be a treat along with the others.

Scroll down to "Television"....
Can't wait until this one comes in the mail!
@Justin...ahhh. Thanks. Glad to see RS giving the show props one last time.
On a completely different note! My wife spotted this - a Simpson-fied version of the BSG cast:

There's a bunch of new clips with Ron Moore, David Eick and the cast at the Paley Center. Here's one of them, you can find the rest from there.
@ProgGrrl. No problem! Hopefully, they'll post the article online during the next couple of weeks. RS does that a lot.
Also, that Simpson-afied BSG is awesome. Thanks for the link, Work!
I'll have to check out the YouTube clips when I have more time...
lol@the GalactiSimpsons.
That's Starbuck punching Tigh all the way at the end, right?
