Bear McCreary goes into astonishing depth and detail about the score for Sometimes A Great Notion on his blog.
It's all a great read, but the story behind Dualla's score is quite noteworthy to learn how Bear incorporated Kandyse McClure's improvised humming into the music throughout the episode when Dualla is on screen.

It's The Music

I was really happy to see that he didnt skip over the haunting hum of Kandyse during the morgue scene. I think he called it the Ghost of Dee or something? It was a great score. The music Bear creates is always amazing, but when vocals are mixed in it always adds this special quality, and just the hum in that one moment of the score really added so much to that scene.
Bear also says he dropped in a musical hint to the end of the show in this episode. A couple of commenters have posted the same guess about what it is, and FWIW I think they may be right. Nothing super-spoilery but it does draw a general connection between Starbuck and another important element in the show. Very cool.
