...but it is all fun to read, regardless:
- Time Magazine picks BATTLESTAR GALACTICA as one of the Top Ten TV Shows of 2008.
- Newsweek reflects on how BATTLESTAR GALACTICA will be remembered as one of the great works of post-9/11 American art. [HT Verheiden.]
- MediaPost reports on new TV audience research that reveals BATTLESTAR GALACTICA has "a whopping 53% of its household viewing -- more than half of its overall viewing -- watching after its original episode premiere" on DVRs. The highest time-shifted viewership in all of televisionland, according to Nielsen Media Research.

. . . . and Time placed it 6th in the Top 10 TV episodes with Revelations. http://www.time.com/time/specials/2008/top10/article/0,30583,1855948_1863367_1863375,00.html.
Awesome!
hmmm. i wonder why so many people watch it later. maybe because it is one friday nights?
@Jill: What I think when I hear that DVR news is firstly: if you make a show for a network that is reliant on advertisers to drive profits, is this totally bad news? And also, I think Eliza Dushku and Tim Kring are right...even if their statements also annoy. If your show is actually a good show, the audience will get to you. No matter what.
People who DVR the show and prefer to watch something else instead are the true murderers of our favorite show. Instead of taking responsibility to help the show get ratings, they'd rather be lazy asses, and all of fandom has to suffer. Pisses me off! People who download from the internet and won't buy the DVDs when they have the money piss me off just as much. It's your fault the show is ending early, not the network!
@muldfeld: But what about:
1. The people who are never home on Fridays but are dying to see BSG and DVR it to watch later on?
2. The people who may be seeing some eps by, ahem, not-really-legal purposes, but then get so hooked on BSG's awesomeness that they end up buying the entire series on DVD and converting 5 other friends?
Something to think about.
