Shooting of the cylon-centric BATTLESTAR GALACTICA telefilm, THE PLAN*, begins today in Vancouver.
The Watcher and TV Guide both posted new details about the film last week. The Watcher also got an update from Ron Moore on the status of CAPRICA: "no word yet, but all signs look good at this point"...hopefully there will be more news on the prequel airdate and possible series pickup by the end of September.
Meanwhile, The 13th Colony says that the series Galactica CIC set has been permanently dismantled. Sigh.
(* We don't know yet if this is this will turn out to be just a working title.)

so... no scenes in Galactica CIC? *crying*
I don't understand why they're dismantling the sets and selling off all of the props. Don't they need that stuff for the telefilms?
Sci Fi let TV Guide know a while back that all the show's major sets have been digitally scanned for archiving. So they've apparently photographed the set from many different angles, to use as background in any future projects after the real sets are dismantled.
Also - this movie is cylon-centric, so maybe they just don't need the CIC.
Obviously, there will not be any new scenes shot in CIC.
Before the strike, however, our great photographer, Josef Philipp, took tons of pictures of CIC. Obviously, we can't show them all to you—we simply don't have enough bandwidth—but we have some up on our recent blog post.

Thanks joe!
Just an update...
They're finishing the final stages of hauling away the debris from the strike of CIC. Construction is working today and tomorrow on this, so CIC is truly no more, other than what was salvaged for the auction, which include the helm stations, Gaeta's console, the command console, tables, and other wonderful gak from CIC.
