The LA Times has posted a first glance at footage from CAPRICA.

Definitely a different visual style than Battlestar, doesn't look like there's much hand-held camera use here! I'm excited, honestly and truly. Hopefully the pilot is aired sooner than later, I need SOMETHING to bridge the 6 month hiatus!

I like the way this looks. It's obvious that they don't have any of their effects shots ready yet, which requires all the clips to be closeups without many sets or technology etc. But it looks good!

I think it looks quite amazing, almost like a feature film. I'm getting a good vibe from this clip!

This is the first footage I have seen from Caprica. It looks pretty interesting. I haven't read the script but from this trailer it looks like that girl was copied with no problems, or with no build up to developing the technology. Guess I will have to wait and see the pilot myself.

They give away that there is a clone (or robot copy) already?

Hmmm. And I thought the show would deal more with the development of AI and it going rogue ...

Looks interesting.

WHAT ME LIKEY:

They're trying to keep it gritty. Like how it meshes the imagery of mafia films with scifi.

Techno-crap is kept to a minimum. No trying to impress us with visual effects or techno-philosophy.

WHAT ME NO LIKEY:

Anyone notice the suicide bomber screaming something about a "one true god"?

So Colonials have dealt with this "one god" issue before?

Why does BSG act like Baltar is preaching something original and new?

Why doesn't anyone on BSG bring up that Baltar is preaching a message that inspired people to blow themselves up?

Tigh and Zarek get lectures from Roslin. Baltar gets civil protection?

As another person who's read this script, I will say again: there is A LOT to this story that is not in this trailer! It's a beautiful, detailed story.

Why can't they reveal the cylon plot lines in these things, that's not an issue.

They're leaving out some other fascinating big reveals...we'll see what they choose to show us when the real ad campaign starts.

Wheee!

Has anyone heard about Bear's possible participation? Is this his score? Just checked his site and see no references to CAPRICA...
