The next casting announcement is out for VIRTUALITY: Jimmi Simpson (above) has been cast as "a mysterious man who enters the virtual-reality world with a hostile agenda." If we can trust those leaked sides, that would be “the Green Eyed Man." You theater fans might recognize Simpson from his stint on Broadway last fall with Hank Azaria, in Aaron Sorkin's play THE FARNSWORTH INVENTION.
The Doctor and Mrs. Who radio show continues to broadcast info coming from their BSG production sources. On the May 29th show they announced that CAPRICA is being pitched to Sci Fi Channel executives as a limited run series, spanning 10-12 episodes to complete its story line. (This information jibes with what we've read elsewhere.)
Additionally, they point out that the Teamsters 155 website currently lists shoot dates for the CAPRICA 2-hour pilot as May 22 to June 19.
Though no official announcement has been made, there is quite a bit more information now on CAPRICA's IMDB page (and we're not saying anyone can take it as gospel). The new prequel project seems to have hired BATTLESTAR GALACTICA’s Production Designer (Richard Hudolin), Costume Designer (Glenne Campbell), Casting Directors (Heike Brandstatter & Coreen Mayrs)…and the Cinematographer Joel Ransom, who shot the original mini series. IMDB even includes a “release date” for CAPRICA of December 2008. Let's hope for some truth in there.
Meanwhile it looks like Michael Rymer, director of the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA miniseries and countless episodes throughout the series run, will be directing the feature adaptation of WITCHBLADE. The film already has a cool teaser poster.

Yeah if Katee Sackhoff is looking at dailies (go back a few posts), then they must be shooting...
