Yup, it's true.

It is really, truly, actually true: Sky One UK aired "Sine Qua Non" tonight. Three days ahead of the rest of the world.

So some of you are seeing it early, bully for you! And if you have any questions for Michael Taylor about it, please send 'em in. Me I'm planning on hiding under my spirgin rock until Friday. Sigh.

In other news, everyone is blowing off network TV...and BSG's ratings are up! Huzzah!

What a horrible episode. It was so fast and crammed together.

They made all these HUGE changes so fast...

It just didn't feel like BSG. Horrible editing.

being a BSG addict and yet...not having Cable..I'll do the deed...

but I'm scared....I've heard of mistakes, of missteps and WTF with Lee Adama being a 1 dimensional ideologue led by Zarek????? What happened to the guy who took chances at the Battle of the Tyllium Refinery?????

as bloo would say.."SuSPISHous....."

Didn't much care for the episode. And I would love to ask Michael Taylor a question about this season but I'm afraid I'll come across as an ungrateful fan. Maybe there's a more tactful way I could put it.

Yeah I have to agree with Anon, way too many things happened in the one episode. It's like they just realized - shit, this is the final season, we're running outta time! - and started throwing plot points into the episode without pacing things like normal.

It's definitely one of THE craziest BSG episodes ever. I still can't believe what I just saw.

The two "fight" scenes - one actual, one implied - really scarred what would otherwise have been a decent episode. Neither conflict made any sense. Came out of nowhere.

This episode left me feeling empty, seemed like a lot of people were doing things out of character. The previous one I was on the edge of the seat, this time I find myself shouting 'nooooooooooooooooo' at the TV, more than once.

Sky have episodes 9 and 10 listed, so looks like it will end in the UK ahead of the US unless they change their minds, which wouldn't surprise me.

Well, I liked it. There were several scenes I maybe could have done without, but there were a few parts I absolutely loved. Loved, I say!

Some of the lines were perhaps a bit too on the nose, but overall I enjoyed the episode very much and am eager to see where these monumental plot changes lead.

I really don't understand the criticism. I think SQN was one of the best eps this season. Everyone was totally in character. People may not like certain character's choices, but the choices were all valid.

Wow, that was a lame epi. After all the angst of the epi, we are supposed to wait 2 weeks and be satisfied with lame contrivances, unnecessary guest stars and concentration on the oldster's love lives. Make that, the oldsters thinking about their love lives. If said persons would have interacted at all with their love interest then maybe I would care. But this was lame.

blech.

It worked. Things are getting tense, people are finding what is right in life. Overdone, maybe, but totally in sync with what is going on. 8.5/10

I agree Andy. EJO is brilliant in this episode. I totally understand why he submitted it to represent him for Emmy consideration. Hogan was great. Bamber was excellent. I can understand people being jarred by Romo's turn at the end in his confrontation with Lee. But, even that is understandable in the context of his character's life.

If people wanted more space action, I think they'll get what they want in the next ep, The Hub written by Jane Espenson.

How are you guys watching this ep already? Is it somewhere online?

If you don't know where to get it, you'll just have to wait till Friday. :-P

As for all the criticisms of SQN - what the frak are you complaining about? This was an intense ep. Romo was back...Adama was heartbroken...Racetrack showed her mettle (again)...Six is pregnant...Athena is humming...Lee and Kara finally had a scene together. AND JAKE RETURNED.

For frak's sake Husker got back in his viper jocks!

What more d'ya need people?

The storylines I can buy. The focus on characters I can buy - I sometimes think I was the only one who liked the Season 3 episode with Tyrol leading the strike on the Tylium ship. And I agree that the acting was excellent.

No, it was the writing that frustrated the hell out of me. Things were dropped in totally out of the blue, resolution came where none seemed earned, and yeah, Romo pulling a gun made absolutely no sense - or if it did, it was so badly written as to be inscrutable.

It's an episode that should have worked, but didn't, thanks to some craptacular writing.

Not the worst BSG ep ever, just the oddest. It was two episodes crammed into one with none of the storylines coming off well.

Major plot points were brought up but never followed on....X is pregnant for gods sakes!!!! That's HUGE!!

Anyway, was bitterly dissapointed by this mess of an episode and a lot of it didn't make any sense.

Please, Ron, don't let the last two eps before the break be as messy as this one.

The What said...

Oh c'mon. It felt rushed at moments, sure...like 8-10 minutes may have been excised for time. But to say they didn't deal with all the storylines? Not true. Pregger Six was dealt with (what do you think the massive Tigh/Adama brawl was about?)...and really, you think that's ALL we will hear about it?

Romo pulled the gun cuz he had become a haunted, frakked-up, shut-in mess (triggered by the cruel murder of the infamous kitteh)...it made sense. But only after you got to the end and thought about it for a little while.

Why can't there be eps like this? Why do you need everything cut, dried, and handed to ya on a platter?

The Tyrol/strike ep last year was well done. What is the point of having a detailed universe if you can't stroll to the outer edges and poke around now and then?

Ha ha! I found it anyway :-)

Yeah, I didn't care too much for it either. Wasn't the best, wasn't the worst.

The oddest plot point was the fact that in one and the same episode Adama learned that Tigh got a Cylon pregnant AND he handed over command to him. That doesn't really add up at all.
