Two things:
(1) They're moving a lot quicker than I thought. I knew there'd be some kind of uprising among the Cylons but I didn't think they'd get to it in the second episode.
(2) Finally we get Kara screaming on the floor. Can't wait. :)

As much as I liked the first episode it is frustrating that they just don't send Kara and someone else out in a Raptor to check out what she is saying. Sure there are all these reasons like they want to get as far from teh nebula as possible as soon as possible because they don't understand why the cylons turned and ran but it is still something that should be explored.

I think you're actually on to something more by asking why, indeed, they don't put Starbuck in a Raptor and let her find Earth again on her own. Adm. Adama is following the president's lead a lot more faithfully than he has in the past but it's obvious he's listening to Starbuck. Something else is going on here and it's not as simple as "why didn't anyone think to ..."
I know most people think it's too obvious to be so, but my money's still on Starbuck as Cylon #12. The other 4 of the final 5 found each other out of everyone else in the fleet, suggesting that nobody else *in attendance* within the fleet was the 5th. Then, Starbuck shows up. Had she been around when the other 4 found each other she would have found them as well. Instead, she was absent so she doesn't yet know.
I'm guessing she actually burned up and took two months to resurrect in orbit around Earth somehow with a brand new, fresh-off-the-line Viper. The final 5 are different and probably resurrect differently. I'm guessing we'll see at least one of the other 4 resurrect near or on Earth after dying very soon.
