Sci Fi Channel - Q&A with Cast

The official SciFi.com Battlestar Galactica forum is taking questions from fans for Lucy Lawless, Edward James Olmos and (*glee*) Michael Hogan. The forum says the Q&A will be taped early next week, so get those questions in soon.

Videotaped responses will be posted to the show's official site over the coming weeks.

If any of our readers don't feel like joining the forum to post questions, go ahead and leave your questions in the comments here, and I will post them on Friday of this week.

More of a comment for Michael Hogan:

I've read that you're uncomfortable now that your character Tigh is one of the final five cylons. Well, I want you to know that this fan is happy at your discomfort because you'll no doubt do a spectacular job morphing the character since you're a simply amazing actor and BSG fans love to watch you chew scenery!

Lucy, The religious thing seems to be a recurring thing in a lot of the series lately. So my question is, do you see your character to be some kind of 'messiah' in order to bring together the cylons and the humans? At least that's the impression I'm getting with the unboxing as in 'being risen from the dead' kind of thing.

Two questions, the first is probably of most interest to Eddie, the second is addressed to all three.

(1) BSG has been praised in a number of critical circles, both popular and academic, for giving attention to some of the most divisive issues facing humankind (for example, ethnic cleansing, interrogation/torture techniques, the civilian/military power relationship, the relationship between mosque/church and state, the transparency of democratic election processes, etc.). To what extent, if any, can a program such as BSG contribute to national and even international conversations on these contentious issues?

(2) How has BSG been received by publics outside of the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom? For example, what kind of fan mail have you received from outside of these three nations?

For Michael Hogan: Are there any scenes or episodes that were difficult for you as an actor? Likewise, what are some of the moments you are most proud of?

First of all: am I dreaming? Am I really talking to you?
Hi, Lucy. I’m Lorenzo from Italy. I’m 26 and I’m a student.
I dare to call you by name because it seems to me to write to a friend.
I’ve been a fan since from the very beginning of Xena. And after that fantastic show I went on being a fan of “a fantastic actress, a great singer and a better person” named Lucy Lawless, as written on the card of one of your fanclubs.
My question is, how did you get involved in Battlestar? I mean, did they call you and told you about your character, her personality and role, or they wanted you as a star and a guest (and what a guest!) and created D’Anna? I didn’t follow BSG as carefully as I did for Xena because here in Italy they don’t broadcast it in clear, but if you can tell us you will be a permanent shining star in the cast of the show I (and I bet we all fans) will become expert in BSG world.
Like we did for Ancient Greece.

Thank you for your kindness. And for this opportunity!
Maybe you don’t completely know how really you enter in our ordinary lives with your positive energy and examples, and help us in little and big problems. For me is sufficient thinking about Starship to go on studying. Hope to see you in London and to talk to you even for 10 seconds!
Thank you for your time and sorry for my English.

PS: We all hope to see re-built the unique alchemy between you and Renee in a great movie; I’m not a subtexter but I love and respect so much your deep friendship that made one family of your two families, so hard to find in these days.
