Why They Write

There doesn't seem to be anything new on the WGA/AMPTP front, other an an Law and Order showrunner being nearly run over and then assaulted by some studio exec coke head in an SUV at a 20th Century Fox gate.

And thankfully, Tom Hanks is getting involved in shaming the AMPTP moguls to get back to fair and honest negotiations.

Also, be sure to read LOST exec producer Damon Lindelof's Why We Write essay. Will Ron Moore any other BSG writers be writing Why We Write essays as well?

See also these cool trailers for LOST season 4.

I was going to comment yesterday (in the previous blog entry) on the recent blog posts being added to this site that have little to no relevance to battlestar galactica. Now I see that some people may perhaps feel the same way, and as such, I am discouraged to find that these comments have been censored, comments turned off (see the post about the New Hampshire elections, as well as previous blog entry about "collaborators"). This site needs to stop focusing on political soap boxes, and return again to the purpose that this site was created: battlestar! Also, the censoring needs to end, as the irony of being a pro-WGA and pro-censorship site should not be lost upon readers. Thank you.

There's never been a case of censorship on this blog.

Blog comments get removed if they are not on topic or violate previously stated policy. I should also note that anonymous posting is allowed, and there's no pre-screening of comments either. I should also say I don't always read each and every comment.

As for your other thoughts and observations: The exits are clearly labeled. You can always start your own blog if something is bothering your sensibilities.

Nikki Finke of DHD has reported that the AMPTP has a bunch of PR people going around posting on pro-WGA blogs.

I'm not saying you are one, but we do have to keep an eye out for that sort of thing.

There is no post on this blog about New Hampshire. For some reason people have drawn that conclusion. There is a post about how BSG seems to capture the moment in our culture and society. I guess people have come to the conclusion that that post has something to do with current events, entirely on their own for some reason.

You can expect more WGA/AMPTP news soon. And more Battlestar news soon. We are working on several topics and reports. We have 84 days until the debut of season 4 of Battlestar Galactica, and we intend to fill up this blog with many exiting and interesting posts as we near that day.

In the spirit of openness I'll consider leaving your comment up before I determine if I should delete it.

Thanks!

Thank you for your timely and considerate response. I am by no means a corporate pretender (of course I can't really prove it one way or another), just someone who has enjoyed viewing this site for its extensive battlestar coverage. Whatever else this site may become, I am sure that it will continue its impressive battlestar news reporting. Thanks again.
