TVShowsOnDVD.com pointed us to this post on the Digital Bits Rumor Mill blog - according to "an insider" from Universal Home Video, the USA release of Season 3 DVDs is "penciled in" for April 2008.
That is correct: S3 dvd's are available now in many other territories, but for us Americans they require special dvd plsyers - and they do not include extras.
You can get BSG Season 3 now from Amazon UK (amazon.co.uk) with a couple of gotchas . . .

Plus, the pound/dollar exchange rate sucks -- but if you gotta have it . . .
