  1. Honestly, its been hard sitting on how awesome this documentary is since we saw it last April at Bear's concert in LA. We'd explain its hilarity to people and they'd look at us like we were nuts. I'm so glad its out...

  4. I don't like being a parade-rainer, but the 'Bear-who?' concept got a little old, rather fast.

On the other hand, I really frakking love James Callis, even more than I did after I saw him at Comic-Con. He's so awesome when he's not Baltar <3.

  6. I'm not saying it wasn't funny...especially once it got to the actors...I was just thinking that I would've liked to have seen a little of what people honestly think of Bear or his music, as well.

  7. ^Take a look at the number of comments on his blog (link under official sites). Lots of BSG fans not only know exactly who he is but also appreciate his fantastic work. Rewatch "The Ties that Bind" or the climax at the end of "Guess What's Coming to Dinner?" and ask yourself if those moments would have been half as powerful without his music.

  8. Hysterically funny, and charmingly self-deprecating. Bear is under no illusions that composers will ever have the star power of actors, but he has actually received widespread critical and fan acclaim for his brilliant BSG work. His blog is fascinating and he is wonderfully generous with fans who post questions. Thanks for posting this, ProgGrrl.

  11. Hahaha, this is awesome. I'm glad that he's actually a pretty integral part of the cast in reality, and BSG wouldn't be what it is without Bear's amazing music. Kudos and props to him!
