Auction catalog live this week

The entire BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Props & Costumes Auction catalog is now available for download in PDF format over at the Propworx site. Man, if only I had a few extra Gs lying around...this is just a frakkin amazing offer. (ETA: this fan warns there may be some spoilers buried in the fine print descriptions of some items...you have been warned. I still haven't gotten past just looking at all the pretty pictures...ETA2: here's a discussion of one of the spoilers, which I haven't read.)

At least most of us can afford the printed catalog, available for purchase beginning next week. According to Propworx there will be additional photos and information going live at www.auctionnetwork.com shortly as well.

Of note in the catalog foreword is mention of several BSG production crew panel events happening in Los Angeles during the live auction weekend:

I honestly thought some of this stuff would go for cheaper. A lot of devoted fans probably don't have the kind of money they are asking for. I hope the internet items are more competitively priced.

Something tells me a lot of these things are going to end up outside of the USA... :)

Charlie,

Please note that this an auction, meaning that pricing is set by the bidders. The prices in the catalog are estimates based off of various factors, such as what like items have gone for in other recent auctions, and other factors. (All that is stated on page 5 of the PDF; which'll be page 9 of the book.)

The final prices for these items can go higher, or lower, than the estimates.

From the catalog:

"Baltar's Manifesto Paper

Small piece of paper with cut corners and "Supply
Flight Schedule" printed on it. Various first names
of Gaeta are handwritten in pen by Baltar."

Baltar is a funny little man.

Anon,

You didn't get the memo?

He's been weird since he slept with spine-glowing femme-bots! :-P

That memo? I got that one, yes. It's why I always knock before entering his lab.

One of the "names" towards the bottom looks suspiciously like "jerk gaeta." LOL.

Joe,

Thanks for sorting that out for me. I didn't read all the beginning stuff because the way my laptop renders PDF in that style flat-out sucks. I just went and looked at all the items for bidding.

OMG...they have Kara's photo of her, Zak and Lee that she kept in her locker? *embarrassing squee*

The "spoiler" is nothing more than people's overactive imaginations.

Basically, it had to do with the Final Five robes. People thought the overlays meant something.

Just to set the record straight, the overlays were used in "Crossroads" during the "Hera" chase sequence. The overlays weren't used in "Rapture", however, for whatever reason (director or DP could've made that call).
