Off The Wireless

GalacticaBS has part one of a three part interview with Terry Moore, wife of Ron Moore and better know to skiffy forum fans as “MrsRon.” Terry has been a non-stop supporter and fan of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA fans the entire time I’ve been on the forums, acting as one of the main ambassadors between hardcore fans and TPTB. GalacticaBS will be running the other parts over the next few weeks. I will never forget this lovely story a friend told me about how cool Terry is in person, out in "the meatspace." :D (Hat tip to John Larocque)

In honor of Mary McDonnell’s upcoming birthday (April 28th), her fans are running a donation drive for one of Mary's favorite charities, the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Deadline is April 21st to participate.

io9 notes that Razor is up for a 2008 Hugo nomination for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form…and found this special effects-laden ad featuring Edward James Olmos. Cool.

io9 also interviewed Jane Espenson on writing for BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and FIREFLY.

Thanks to tipster Laughtrack for pointing out that the two new BSG specials are running on the Universal HD Channel this week…still no word about s4 though.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER joins the list of network TV shows that enjoy making subtle shoutouts to BSG and their ultra-nerd fanbase.

There is a new Frakking Toasters comic.

Blogger Dark Orpheus discusses the music in BSG, and links to some cool fanvids.

I am hearing rumbles in fandom that Katee Sackhoff will probably call into the Cort and Fatboy radio show on Friday. Keep your internets tuned in.

TVaholic has re-posted the one hour press conference video taped on the BSG set last summer in Vancover with Jamie Bamber, Michael Hogan, Grace Park, Aaron Douglas, Tahmoh Penikett, Harvey Frand (Line Producer), Mark Stern (Sci Fi Channel), and Bonnie Hammer (who was at that time still President of Sci Fi Channel). This was shot while filming the 4.0 episodes, so it might be worth another look.

The Cylons are getting a ton of press this week: Tricia Helfer has upcoming TV appearances on The Tonight Show (April 11) and The Late Late Show (April 15), and she has an interview on Wired. New York magazine has an interview with Michael Hogan, and the Globe and Mail talked to Grace Park.

TV Fodder has last-minute ideas about what to bring to a Frak Party.
